We are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Manager to oversee our service department and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive service and repair, with a focus on leading a team of technicians to deliver quality vehicle maintenance and repair services. This role requires excellent customer service skills, as well as the ability to manage operations efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Manage daily operations of the service department, ensuring efficiency and productivity. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns regarding vehicle maintenance and repairs. Achieve monthly and yearly service goals Oversee the scheduling of service appointments and ensure timely completion of services. Train, mentor, and supervise service technicians to maintain high standards of work quality. Monitor inventory levels for automotive parts and supplies, placing orders as necessary. Process returns weekly as needed. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and shop policies. Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain financial records for services rendered. Review digital inspections with customers performed on vehicles, including oil changes, tire services, shocks, struts, heavy line and other automotive repairs. Experience Proven experience in an automotive service management role or similar position within a dealership environment. Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and automotive repair practices. Experience with cash handling and financial record keeping. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients. Familiarity with managing a team of service technicians and coordinating their activities effectively. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide solutions promptly. A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications in automotive service are a plus.
