Job Description

Job description The Service Manager position manages the service activities of the dealership to ensure that the dealership meets its volume and profitability objectives on a daily, monthly, and annual basis. The Service Manager is responsible for managing technicians, controlling costs, building a loyal clientele, maintaining good employee relations, setting and obtaining sales and profit objectives and maintaining service records and a high CSI. Additionally, they must satisfy service concerns of all customers, ensure that service is performed at the highest level and operate the department profitably. Traditions Chevrolet is located in East Bernard, TX, 12 miles west of Rosenberg. This smaller volume country dealer is an ideal opportunity for an assistant service manager to take the next step in their career. Job Duties Problem-solver who meets service and sales objectives. Provides resolutions of customer complaints. Ability to process and submit warranty claims Crafts marketing and advertising strategies. Creates goals and objectives for the department Creates work schedules and maintains proper accounting of Service Technician productivity Providing training on administrative policies and procedures for all department personnel. Accountable to make sure that technicians keep their skills up-to-date through periodic technical training on new systems and components offered by automotive manufacturers. Strong knowledge of policy and procedures. Manages and oversees staff, which includes recruiting/hiring, evaluating, scheduling, terminating, etc. Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards. Keeping up-to-date on manufacturer warranty and policy procedures while serving as a liaison with the factory representatives. Maintaining the highest Customer Service Index (CSI) rating from customers by handling customer complaints immediately and according to dealership policy. Complies with and enforces all safety policies and procedures and ensures a safe working environment. Performs other duties as assigned. Make schedule for backend employees. Daily Operating Report. Qualities Preferred Include:
2 years Chevrolet experience preferred but not required CDK Drive experience preferred High School diploma or higher Automotive service department experience Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Successful completion of pre-employment screening including background check, MVR and drug screen Authorization to work in the
