Responsibilities Greet customers promptly and professionally, listening carefully to their vehicle concerns to accurately document service needs. Prepare detailed repair orders, estimates, and invoices using auto estimating software, ensuring clarity and transparency for customers. Communicate effectively with technicians regarding vehicle diagnostics, repair procedures, and timelines to coordinate efficient service delivery. Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, or transmission repairs to maximize dealership revenue while meeting customer needs. Maintain thorough records of all transactions including cash handling, warranty claims, and service history updates. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair options clearly and answering questions confidently to foster trust and loyalty. Collaborate with sales teams on automobile sales opportunities when appropriate, leveraging mechanical knowledge to assist in vehicle recommendations. Requirements Proven dealership experience or prior auto service management background is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience as a mechanic or service technician is essential. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics across various systems including transmissions, diesel engines, air brakes, shocks & struts, wheel alignments, suspension components, tire services, and auto body repairs. Experience in auto estimating software and automotive repair processes is required. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining professionalism at all times. Knowledge of automotive sales techniques and automobile sales processes is a plus.
