Position Overview:
This role is ideal for an experienced technician who understands vehicle systems and wants to transition into advanced electronic diagnostics and calibration work. As an ADAS Calibration Technician, you will be responsible for performing precise calibrations of ADAS systems following collision repairs and windshield replacements, as well as diagnosing electrical faults and repairing wiring harnesses. You'll use OEM service libraries, diagnostic tools, and specialized equipment to ensure vehicle systems operate correctly and safely. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Ensure a high level of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Complete pre•and post-scans with OE tools, communicate the results clearly and effectively to the customer Perform static and dynamic ADAS Calibrations on Domestic, Asian, and European vehicles onsite at the customer location Utilize OEM diagnostic scan tools to complete programming, calibrations, and diagnostics Diagnose and troubleshoot complex calibration and non-calibration concerns (i.e., wiring issues/no communication to a module) Skillfully execute quality wiring, connector, and harness repairs Test drive vehicles after repairs are completed to confirm system operation and quality check Explain and educate ADAS calibration specifications and repair planning needs, which includes collision repair center personnel, insurance adjusters, and direct customers Communicate with the rest of the field team and office to ensure efficiency and productivity Responsible for ensuring computer and tooling software updates are completed prior to need. Accountable for and responsible for maintaining assigned inventory (including vehicles, mobile devices, laptops, VCIs, and other equipment provided) Complete assigned training, including participating in virtual (online) training sessions Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships through our company's purpose and core values Qualifications and Requirements (What We're Looking For) Solid basic computer knowledge, including Windows OS, email, and messaging systems Minimum 2 years of automotive service technician experience, an automotive vocational degree, or equivalent Vehicle diagnostic experience with strong electrical aptitude; the ability to read wiring diagrams and understand voltage, amps, and resistance Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Must pass NASTF Vehicle Security Background Check (company paid) Clean driving record and background check required A keen attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring vehicle safety standards. ASE and /or I-CAR Certification in related fields such as Electrical/Electronic Systems or Advanced Driver Assistance Systems is a plus Flexibility in working well independently as well as collaboratively Random drug and/or alcohol testing may be required per company policy.
