Automotive Technician - B/C Level

Job Overview Join VIP Service Center as a Junior Automotive Technician and start building a real career in this trade. We're a family-owned independent shop in Bristol, PA with 14 climate-controlled bays, running hundreds of cars through every month across every make and model. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to grow — you'll perform inspections, handle basic service and repair, and learn directly from our foreman and senior techs, who are knowledgeable and happy to teach the right person. Dealership apprentice programs will have you running the same three jobs on the same three models for years. Here, you'll see everything — domestic, import, European, old, new, weird electrical gremlins, all of it — and that variety is the fastest way to actually learn. For a hungry tech with the right attitude, this shop is a goldmine. Responsibilities Perform PA state inspections and emissions testing Complete oil changes, tire services, tire rotations, and fluid checks Handle brake jobs, basic suspension work, and other routine general repairs Use hand tools and power tools safely and correctly Assist senior techs on more advanced diagnostic and repair work, and learn as you go Keep your bay clean, organized, and safe at all times Communicate clearly and honestly service advisors about vehicle condition and needed work Take notes, ask questions, and work to get better every single day Qualifications PA State Inspection & Emissions license (required) Valid driver's license (required) A basic set of your own tools — we'll help you grow your collection over time Solid grasp of the fundamentals: oil, tires, brakes, basic suspension Hunger to learn and the humility to ask questions Strong work ethic and a good attitude — this matters more to us than years of experience Prior shop or dealership experience is a plus but not required Compensation & Benefits $16-$22/hr to start , based on experience and skill level Hourly now, flat rate as your skills grow — motivated techs have real room to grow, including flat-rate options, within a few years as your skills and speed improve Health insurance Paid time off 401(k) / retirement plan Uniforms provided Ongoing training and ASE certification reimbursement — we invest in techs who invest in the work Fleet referral bonus program — bring in a fleet account that becomes a regular customer and earn a bonus once they hit a spending threshold with us Schedule Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Rotating Saturdays (typically once a month or less) Why VIP?
