Here's a revised version tailored to your needs: Automotive Fleet Technician - Vans & MinivansOverview We are looking for an experienced Automotive Fleet Technician to help maintain and service our company transportation fleet, primarily made up of vans and minivans , including mostly Ford and Dodge vehicles . This position is ideal for someone with strong hands-on mechanical experience who can perform preventative maintenance, basic repairs, inspections, and general in-house vehicle service . Prior experience as a certified Ford dealership technician is highly preferred. The goal of this role is to keep our fleet safe, reliable, and operating efficiently while reducing downtime and outside repair costs. Duties Perform routine preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles, including oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, tire rotations, brake inspections, and general safety inspections. Diagnose and repair basic mechanical issues on vans and minivans, mainly Ford and Dodge models. Inspect vehicles regularly to identify maintenance needs before they become major repairs. Perform basic brake, suspension, battery, belt, hose, lighting, and minor engine-related repairs. Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, inspections, repairs, parts used, and service schedules. Coordinate with outside repair shops or dealerships when advanced diagnostics or major repairs are required. Ensure all fleet vehicles are safe, clean, reliable, and ready for daily operation. Use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic scanners, and standard automotive service equipment. Assist with keeping the maintenance area organized, safe, and properly stocked with basic supplies and parts. Requirements Proven experience as an automotive technician, mechanic, or fleet maintenance technician. Experience working on vans, minivans, or light-duty fleet vehicles preferred. Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance and basic mechanical repair. Experience with Ford and Dodge vehicles strongly preferred. Prior experience as a certified Ford dealership technician is highly preferred. Ability to diagnose common mechanical and electrical issues. Must be comfortable using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools. Ability to work independently and manage routine maintenance schedules. Strong attention to detail and commitment to vehicle safety. Valid driver's license required. ASE certification or manufacturer certification is a plus, but not required. Preferred Qualifications Ford dealership experience. Ford technician certification. Fleet maintenance experience. Experience with Ford Transit, Dodge Grand Caravan, Chrysler Pacifica, Ram ProMaster, or similar vehicles. Ability to perform basic in-house repairs and determine when a vehicle should be sent to an outside shop. Work Environment This is an in-house fleet maintenance position focused on keeping company vehicles safe and reliable. The role is primarily preventative maintenance and basic mechanical repair rather than heavy diagnostics or major engine/transmission work.
Pay:
$22.00 - $28.00 per hour
