AV Breakout operator

Job Summary You will be using an Atem video switcher and a Yamaha TF1. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented AV Breakout Operator to join our team and ensure the seamless operation of audio-visual systems during live events and productions. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting AV equipment, including video switchers, audio mixers, and signal routing devices. Duties Set up, configure, and operate AV equipment such as video switchers, audio consoles, projectors, microphones, and signal distribution systems for live events. Troubleshoot software issues related to AV hardware and ensure all systems are functioning optimally before and during events. Manage cabling, connections, and hardware components with precision to maintain high-quality signal flow. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to facilitate installation and maintenance tasks. Perform routine maintenance on AV equipment to prevent issues and extend system lifespan. Collaborate with technical teams to coordinate setup times, troubleshoot on-site problems quickly, and ensure smooth event execution. Utilize hand tools for equipment adjustments or repairs as needed while adhering to safety standards. Assist in telecommunication setups involving low voltage wiring and electrical connections for integrated AV solutions. Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, troubleshooting steps, and maintenance activities for future reference. Qualifications Proven experience in electrical or electronic systems with a focus on AV or telecommunication setups. Strong knowledge of E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation) systems, low voltage wiring, and electrical safety protocols. Hands-on experience with field service operations involving AV equipment installation and troubleshooting. Proficiency in using hand tools for cabling, assembly, or repair tasks. Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals accurately. Mechanical knowledge related to equipment assembly or maintenance is highly desirable. Familiarity with computer hardware components and software troubleshooting related to AV systems. Knowledge of telecommunication infrastructure including low voltage cabling practices. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams in fast-paced environments.
