Job Title:
Quality Inspector Job Description The Quality Inspector plays a key role in ensuring that all rotorcraft maintenance and repair activities meet stringent quality, safety, and regulatory standards. This position supports P21 and P145 operations in a fast-paced hangar environment and focuses on inspection, quality control, and compliance with FAA manuals and procedures. Responsibilities Perform detailed quality inspections on rotorcraft and related components in support of P21 and P145 operations. Inspect maintenance, repair, and overhaul work to verify compliance with FAA manuals, internal procedures, and applicable regulatory standards. Conduct inspections on a variety of helicopter models, including but not limited to AW139, AW119, AW109, Bell 412, Bell 427, EC145, EC135, AS350, S92, S76, and MD500. Review maintenance and inspection documentation for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to quality assurance requirements. Identify, document, and report nonconformities, defects, and discrepancies, and work with maintenance personnel to ensure timely resolution. Collaborate closely with A&P mechanics, avionics technicians, sheet metal mechanics, and composites technicians to support safe and compliant aircraft release. Apply quality control and quality assurance principles to maintain high standards of workmanship and safety. Interpret and use FAA manuals, technical data, and work instructions to guide inspection activities. Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure proper documentation for audits and regulatory reviews. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inspection processes, quality systems, and maintenance practices. Communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing, to coordinate work and document inspection results. Work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, as needed to meet operational and customer requirements. Essential Skills Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in an aviation or rotorcraft maintenance environment. Experience in the rotorcraft industry, ideally with at least 5 years working with helicopters or helicopter maintenance operations. Active Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License. Ability to understand, read, and write English clearly and accurately. Strong experience in inspection, quality control, and quality assurance within a maintenance and repair setting. Proficiency in interpreting and applying FAA manuals and regulatory guidance. Willingness and ability to work overtime and weekends as required. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with rotorcraft platforms such as AW139, AW119, AW109, Bell 412, Bell 427, EC145, EC135, AS350, S92, S76, and MD500. Experience in P21 and P145 operations or similar aviation maintenance approvals. Previous military aviation or maintenance experience. Hands-on familiarity with helicopter maintenance, repair, and inspection processes. Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including A&P mechanics, avionics technicians, sheet metal mechanics, and composites technicians. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a small hangar environment that is fast-paced and highly focused on customer service and safety. You will work on-site alongside A&P mechanics, avionics technicians, sheet metal mechanics, and composites technicians, with regular interaction and teamwork across disciplines. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with the expectation of overtime and weekend work when operational needs require it. The dress code is casual, allowing t-shirts and jeans, while maintaining appropriate attire for a hands-on aviation maintenance setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bensalem, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
