Hiring for Avionics Technician w/ A&P paying between $35 to $50 per hour in Croydon, PA Job Description This position supports avionics testing, troubleshooting, installations, and upgrade projects across a variety of civilian helicopter platforms. The role suits an experienced avionics professional who enjoys hands-on work, excels at problem-solving, and consistently delivers high-quality maintenance and integration solutions in a regulated aviation environment. Responsibilities Perform avionics testing and troubleshooting on civilian helicopter systems to ensure safe and reliable operation. Complete new avionics system installations and execute upgrade installations on a variety of helicopter platforms. Build and modify wire harnesses, including crimping, routing, and terminations, to support new installations and modifications. Support avionics integration efforts across multiple aircraft types, ensuring systems interface correctly and function as designed. Interpret and work from blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation to perform accurate installations and repairs. Carry out avionics repair and maintenance tasks on aircraft electrical and electronic systems in accordance with regulatory standards. Perform aircraft modifications related to avionics and electrical systems, ensuring proper documentation and configuration control. Ensure compliance with all aviation safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including FAA requirements and internal procedures. Document all work performed in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements, maintaining accurate records of inspections, repairs, and modifications. Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to support broader aircraft maintenance, including coordination with inspections, engine repairs, and airframe modifications. Essential Skills 3-5 years of experience as an avionics technician working on aircraft avionics systems. Active Airframe or A&P license. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve avionics issues efficiently and accurately. Proven experience installing new avionics systems and executing avionics system upgrades. Hands-on experience with civilian helicopter platforms such as Agusta, Sikorsky, Bell, and Airbus/Eurocopter. Proficiency in reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints. Experience building, modifying, and repairing wire harnesses and aircraft wiring. Knowledge of aviation electronics, avionics electrical systems, and aircraft electrical systems. Familiarity with FAA regulations and aviation maintenance standards related to avionics and aircraft maintenance. Ability to perform avionics repair, aircraft maintenance, and aircraft modification tasks in a structured, safety-focused environment. Why Work Here? You will work hands-on around aircraft, avionics systems, and electrical components, using tools and equipment for wiring, crimping, testing, and troubleshooting. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., in a professional hangar and shop environment that follows strict safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Croydon, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
