Job Description

"A Neapolitan-style pizza superior to most brick-and-mortars in town... glistening, fragrant masterpieces... easily the favorite in the roundup."- Chris Onstad, Portland Mercury"Pitch-perfect Neapolitan pies."- Nathan Tucker, Serious Eats"Perhaps the most underrated longstanding Cartopia cart... shines with pops of creativity and old-school technique."- Thom Hinton and Michelle DeVona, Eater PortlandWe're not your average food cart. We're not just another pizza shop. Since 2009, we've been quietly turning out wood-fired pies that go toe-to-toe with the biggest names in Portland. We keep it small. We do it well. We like it that way.
SOME THINGS WE OFFER
Four-day work week, set schedule, no split days off, and no clopens.

Three weeks' PTO per year.

Starting wage of $17-18, DOE.100% pooled tips ranging from $7-14 per hour ($10 average).75% employer-paid medical/dental/vision (PacificSource Navigator Gold 3500).
SOME OTHER REASONS YOU MIGHT WANT TO WORK HERE
You're a server disguised as a line cook, or vice-versa. You have pitch-perfect people skills, and the speed, stamina, and coordination of a dancer or an athlete.

You like work that demands and rewards deep attention. This job is simple in theory. In practice, it's a continuous conversation with the elements: dough, fire, weather, wood. It gets as Zen as you let it. The longer you do it, the less you know.

You're a seasoned pizza professional. Maybe wood-fired, maybe not. You're ready to try something different and learn some new methods. You probably have a trick or two to contribute somewhere down the line. But you've been leaving your ego at home for so long, you're not sure where it is.

You know that in order to have fun on the job, you have to take it seriously. You come to work well-rested and ready to meet the day. Your body and mind are your first and best tools, and you care for them accordingly. You're internally motivated. You can keep one eye on the details and one on the big picture. You understand that structure frees us to improvise where it counts.
COVER LETTERS
Don't bother with that chatbot nonsense--we want to hear your voice, human imperfections and all. But do tell us a little about yourself and why you want to work with us. Just a few words. If it seems like a good fit, we'll talk on the phone, we'll bring you in for a paid stage, and we'll go from there.

Thanks for your interest. We look forward to hearing from you.
