This is a role in our production facility, providing support to our bagel bakers and maintaining the overall cleanliness of our kitchen. At Pete's, we take great pride in making all of our food items fresh and in-house, and our Bakery Assistant will play an important part in making that possible! Pete's is all about fresh food, community, and family. We opened our doors in 2019 and have since expanded to five locations and a wholesale program in the Tampa Bay area. We are a friendly and inclusive workplace with an incredible team of hardworking and upbeat people! This is a full time position with standard shifts from 4am - 12pm .

Job Description:

The Bakery Assistant will work alongside our bakers to help package bagels after the bake, prepare trays, and roll bagels for the next day's batch. This person will also be responsible for cleaning dishes and equipment, as well as maintaining general facility cleanliness. This entry-level role provides a great avenue for growth in our back of house team.

Requirements:

MUST be comfortable lifting 50lbs regularly throughout shift, and standing for majority of shift - this is a physically demanding role! Our ideal candidate will have an interest in learning about commercial baking, a willingness to jump in and lend a hand wherever needed, be self motivated, and willing to aid in producing large volumes of product. Prior kitchen experience is not required.
