The Bakery Manager-In-Training is a dynamic role designed to cultivate future bakery leaders. This position focuses on developing a comprehensive understanding of bakery operations, encompassing retail operations, inventory control, and team leadership. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in customer service, retail sales, and a commitment to ethical standards and conduct. This role will provide hands-on experience in all aspects of bakery management, including merchandising, loss prevention, and problem-solving, while fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability. This position requires candidates to be able to travel to other stores for training. This is a Full Time, Hourly position offering an excellent benefits package. Must will open to any shifts including holidays and weekends.Responsibilities:
All training while in this role is to prepare you to run a bakery department of your own. While in this role, you will be asked to assist the Bakery Manager you are training with to oversee and learn to complete all tasks listed and others that may be asked of you to complete. Oversee daily bakery operations, ensuring adherence to company standards and procedures. Assist in the training and coaching of bakery staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and stocking of products, demonstrating a detail-oriented approach. Implement merchandising strategies to maximize sales and enhance the customer experience. Provide exceptional customer service, resolving customer issues and building relationships. Participate in loss prevention efforts, safeguarding company assets and minimizing shrinkage. Assist in planning and task management, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of projects. Demonstrate leadership qualities by motivating and guiding team members. Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding operational updates and performance. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.Minimum Qualifications:
General knowledge of retail operations and retail sales. Working knowledge of inventory control principles. Demonstrated ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment. Commitment to honesty and ethical standards. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment. High school diploma or equivalent.Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a bakery or food service environment. Experience in a leadership or supervisory role. Experience with merchandising techniques. A passion for baking and the food industry.Additional Desired Skills:
