In this role, you will support bartenders and servers by maintaining a clean, organized bar area, assisting with food and beverage service, clearing and bussing tables efficiently and ensuring smooth operations during busy nights. Your proactive approach and excellent communication skills will help create an energetic atmosphere that keeps guests engaged and satisfied. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your hospitality skills while working in a lively environment. This job also includes working private events where scheduled and needed at the brewery. Must have weekday, weekend and holiday availability, nights and weekends. Must have reliable transportation to and from all shifts and be able to show up on time. Barbacks are tipped out $15% of all bartender and server tips during their shift. Responsibilities Assist bartenders by restocking bar supplies, garnishes, glassware, and beverages to ensure seamless service during peak hours Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including cleaning spills, washing glassware, and sanitizing surfaces in accordance with health standards Support food preparation tasks such as garnishing drinks, assembling bar snacks, or preparing simple menu items when needed Buss tables and clear empty dishes to keep the dining and bar areas tidy and inviting in a timely manner Help with setup and breakdown for events such as private catering functions within the brewery Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate service flow and address guest needs promptly Skills Proven experience in food service, catering, or hospitality environments, including in a restaurant, bar or brewpub. Strong knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and cleanliness standards in the food industry Previous restaurant, brewery, winery or banquet experience is highly desirable for managing high-volume service periods Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members Ability to perform cleaning duties efficiently while maintaining a lively work pace Experience in bussing tables, serving guests, or supporting bar operations in a hospitality setting Kitchen experience or barista background is a plus for understanding beverage preparation and food presentation Demonstrated ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and special event days Join us to be part of an energetic team committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences!
