Barista Cashier

Job Summary We're looking for a warm, attentive barista to join our small mountain coffee shop and coworking space. You'll be the heartbeat of our community gathering place — crafting quality drinks, welcoming locals and visitors, and helping maintain the inviting atmosphere that makes The Rangeley Hideaway feel like home. This role combines drink preparation with customer service and cashier duties. You'll pull espresso shots, steam milk, run our Square POS system, keep the space clean and organized, and create the kind of experience that brings people back. We need someone who moves smoothly under pressure and takes pride in their work. What you'll do: Prepare coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and light food items with consistency and care Greet guests with warmth and provide attentive service throughout their visit Handle cash and card transactions accurately using Square POS Maintain cleanliness across all café areas including prep stations and customer spaces Follow food safety and sanitation standards Work efficiently during busy periods while preserving quality Help create an atmosphere rooted in warmth, kinship, and light What we're looking for: Previous barista experience strongly preferred Natural warmth and strong interpersonal skills Attention to detail and ability to stay organized during peak hours Comfortable with food handling and safety procedures Flexibility to work Thursday-Sunday and seasonal schedules We're a small team.
