We are looking for a Barista to join our team at Mighty Oak Roasters. Mighty Oak is the first wood-fired coffee roastery in NYC in close to a century. Coffee is our star.

Availability Needed :

Saturday and Sunday availability is a must. A mix of opening and closing shifts. We are looking for longer term employment, not seasonal.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Making and serving coffee

• espresso, drip, cold brew, iced drip, pour overs, French Press, and more Taking orders and ringing out customers Ensuring café is kept clean throughout the shift Providing excellent service at our neighborhood café that's full of regular customers Stocking and restocking café supplies (milk, cups, pastries, etc.) Fulfilling online orders of beans (FYI
• no Grub Hub, Door Dash, or any other pickup/delivery of drinks!

) Requirements Friendly, outgoing person that likes being with other people all day Prior Barista experience Ability to lift 50 pounds Able to work both closing and weekend shifts

Pay:

$17.00

• $19.00 per hour PLUS tips (an additional $9
• $14 per hour in credit card tips, not including cash tips)

The Ideal Candidate:

Has a passion for coffee and/or service Has previous Café/Restaurant/Food Service experience Has experience with Square POS Has strong communication and interpersonal skills Possesses NYC Food Handlers Certificate Café hours are 6:30 AM

• 7:00 PM seven days a week.

Opening Shift:

6:00 AM

• 12:45

PM Mid-Shifts:

8:00 AM

• 3:00 PM Weekdays, plus 1:00 PM
• 6:00 PM Mondays and Tuesdays 8:00 AM
• 3:00 PM and 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM weekends

Closing Shift:

12:30 PM
