This role involves preparing and serving high-quality coffee and food items, providing exceptional customer service, and managing cash transactions accurately. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food and beverage industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred, along with strong time management skills to ensure smooth daily operations. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items following established recipes and safety standards. Operate POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling. Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit. Manage cash register operations, including processing payments, giving change, and balancing cash drawers at shift end. Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food prep stations, seating areas, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards. Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks as needed. Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to meet health regulations. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and customer satisfaction. Support team members in maintaining a welcoming environment for all guests. Experience Previous barista experience or background in the food service industry is highly desirable. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred but not required; training will be provided if necessary. Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on creating positive guest experiences. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
