Barista/Kitchen Staff

Overview:

We're looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team. The Barista/Kitchen Staff will be primarily responsible for preparing and serving coffee, tea, and other beverages and bakery items to our customers as well as playing a vital role in assisting our kitchen staff in preparing delicious meals for our customers. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced, high-stress environment, exceptional customer service skills and a friendly personality. Duties:

• Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, such as chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and measuring ingredients
• Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality
• Prepare food items according to established standards and procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and equipment
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during service hours
• Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
• Take orders from customers and make them their drinks according to their specifications.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the coffee shop by washing counters, tables, and floors.
• Answer questions about the menu and beverages.
• Assist customers with their orders.

Skills:

• Previous experience in a food service or kitchen environment is preferred
• Strong math skills for recipe measurements and portion control
• Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines
• Knowledge of proper food handling techniques
• Cash handling experience is a plus
• Familiarity with retail math for inventory management
• Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
• Proficiency in using POS systems and cash registers
