Whether you're shaking up a signature cocktail, serving ice-cold cervezas, or engaging with guests across the bar, your role is essential in delivering the lively, welcoming atmosphere we're known for. Duties & Responsibilities Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with consistency, speed, and presentation Craft signature drinks including margaritas, mojitos, and house cocktails with accuracy and flair Engage guests with a friendly, upbeat attitude to create a fun and memorable bar experience Operate POS systems (Aloha, Micros, or similar) for accurate order entry and cash handling Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout service Handle cash transactions and tabs accurately, including basic math and balancing Work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service during high-volume shifts Assist with events, catering, and high-energy service environments when needed Monitor alcohol consumption and follow responsible serving practices at all times Support food handling when necessary, following all safety and sanitation standards Skills & Qualifications Previous bartending experience in a high-volume restaurant or bar environment preferred Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and bar operations Experience with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is a plus Ability to multitask and stay composed under pressure Excellent communication and customer service skills Solid understanding of food safety and responsible alcohol service Basic math skills for handling cash, tabs, and transactions Energetic personality with a strong team-oriented mindset Why Join El Sombrero?
