Non-Exempt Full Time (Variable)POSITION SUMMARY
The Basic Center Case Manager assists in providing emergency and short-term services to runaway, homeless, and at-risk youth. These responsibilities and duties are assigned by and under the direct supervision of the Program Manager or in concurrence with the Operations ManagerESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Must work with other staff to ensure overall program success. Strong organizational skills are required. Must possess a valid Driver's License, proof of personal automobile insurance, must meet insurability requirements. Must be able to use a computer. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate through speaking and listening. The employee is required to stand, sit, and walk for longer periods of time. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Must have the ability to work with youth and disadvantaged people with an objective, non-judgmental attitude.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in providing supplies and resource materials to youth who are living on the street or in crisis. These supplies will be distributed by walking, biking, or driving the streets during established work hours. Assists with documentation on youth contacted. Assists with transportation to shelter and/or various places when deemed appropriate. 4. Prepares materials as needed for program. Helps with organizing and maintaining outreach supplies and outreach facility. Participates in staff in-service training meetings, and professional development activities. Provides assistance to Drop-in Center. Assists in the development and implementation of Life Skills Classes. Performs other duties as may be assigned from time to time.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

This position requires a bachelor's degree and a willingness to work with high-risk youth in crisis. OTHER SKILLS andABILITIES
Must have the ability to work with youth with an objective, non-judgmental attitude. Also requires a resident/cell phone and a valid Montana Driver's License. A criminal and child abuse background check will be conducted.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
This position requires knowledge of child and adolescent development issues; mandatory reporting when necessary;HIV/AIDS
awareness; CPR/First Aid training; the juvenile justice system; available community resources and procedures for locating and returning missing/runaway youth. This position requires the ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with youth, co-workers, school staff, law enforcement officials, and other community agency personnel; skills in the provision of crisis intervention, counseling and family mediation; and the ability to write competently, follow verbal and written instructions, manage time, and maintain client records. Understands the tenets of Positive Youth Development.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
