Battery Technician Job Description The Battery Technician assembles and tests battery modules and packs in a cleanroom production environment, following engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and standard operating procedures. This role operates battery cyclers and welding equipment, performs detailed inspections and testing, and documents all results in line with quality standards. Responsibilities Assemble battery modules and packs according to engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and standard operating procedures. Follow basic work instructions to complete assembly tasks accurately and consistently. Perform spot welding using welding machines while maintaining precision and safety. Inspect and test battery cells, modules, and packs for quality compliance. Document test results, production data, and any non-conformities in accordance with established quality standards and procedures. Handle sensitive battery components in accordance with ESD, safety, and cleanroom protocols to protect product quality and personal safety. Maintain a clean, organized work area and comply with all personal protective equipment and cleanroom requirements. Essential Skills Entry-level experience or 1-3 years of experience in battery pack assembly, testing, or a manufacturing environment. Ability to read and follow engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and standard operating procedures. High aptitude for working with small electronic components and mechanical equipment. Strong attention to detail and ability to document test results and non-conformities accurately Capability to follow ESD, safety, and cleanroom protocols consistently. Why Work Here? You will work around battery modules, packs, and related test and welding equipment, following strict ESD and safety protocols. All team members must adhere to the employer's PPE requirements, which include wearing smocks, hair nets, beard nets (if applicable), and shoe covers while in designated areas. The environment emphasizes cleanliness, attention to detail, and consistent adherence to procedures to maintain a high standard of product reliability. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Homestead, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
