Job Description

Category Schools - BCBA Job Type Contract Step into a pivotal role supporting behavioral initiatives across a thriving public school district near Signal Mountain, TN. This full-time contract opportunity is tailored for an experienced and credentialed Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) ready to make a meaningful impact. Starting August 5, 2026 through May 19, 2027, you'll serve as a crucial resource, working from the district office and collaborating with teams throughout the area. What we're seeking: Current, active BCBA certification Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings, preferred Strong ability to build collaboration with multidisciplinary education teams Comfort managing a flexible caseload and supporting multiple campuses as needs arise Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Ability to navigate a structured referral process across a large school district Willingness to complete time-sensitive fingerprinting requirements prior to start Key responsibilities: Deliver consultative and direct behavioral support through the district's established help desk and referral system Collaborate monthly with the Vanderbilt Triad program for ongoing data analysis and feedback Lead and document behavioral assessments, develop intervention plans, and support school personnel in their implementation Rotate across campuses based on the referral process—not all 80 schools will require active support simultaneously Participate in ongoing professional development and utilize a detailed support model to prevent burnout Maintain thorough records and ensure compliance with all district and regulatory standards Your schedule: Work 35 hours per week with a 7.5-hour day, flexing hours according to school start times, typically 8am-3:30pm.
