1. Certified teacher or candidate with experience operating a successful 21st CCLC program preferred 2. CPR/First Aid certified 3. Meets requirements for criminal records check. 4. Meets health requirements as specified in district personnel policy. 5. Valid KY driver's license
REPORTS TO
Chief Academic Officer
JOB GOAL
The 21st Century School Coordinator is responsible to provide a successful afterschool program providing academic enrichment opportunities supporting program goals to targeted participants as outlined in the grant. The goals and objectives from the grant are to increase academic outcomes particularly in reading, math, and science; improve noncognitive indicators of success, reading intervention activities for students, increased literacy and educational opportunities for parents and families.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate and collaborate with partners on family engagement activities
  • Schedule, monitor, and evaluate staffing
  • Ensure necessary staff are CPR/First Aid trained
  • Provide weekly staff and activity calendar
  • Prepare daily lesson plans
  • Maintain and enter daily attendance for activities
  • Attend PD trainings
  • Coordinate with and recruit new partners to provide enrichment activities with sustainability based on grant requirements
  • Minimum of four (4) check-ins with partners, administrators, and parents
  • Assist in providing instruction for students
  • Facilitate daily communication with regular-day teachers
  • Attend all required state/regional trainings
  • Gather and complete data and payroll sheets in a timely manner
  • Attend school events to recruit students and conduct outreach with parents
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Designated by a 200-day contract and paid according to grant.
EVALUATION
; Evaluated by immediate supervisor. Interventionist
QUALIFICATIONS
Master's Degree or above Four years teaching experience in field. Meets requirements for a criminal records check. Meets health requirements as specified in district personnel policy.
REPORTS TO
Principal
JOB GOAL
The Interventionist provides individual or small group instruction to students who are struggling academically. This position is also responsible for monitoring, reporting, and communicating student progress and performance.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides high quality instruction to individual students and small groups Uses data to provide instruction to students and to bring their skills to grade-level Collaborates with teachers, administration, and families to help identify best practices for individual and small groups of students Uses identified research-based interventions focuses specifically on individual student needs Maintains data-based documentation of continuous monitoring of student performance and progress Provides data to school teams and participates in decisions about student progress Communicates with teachers, administration, and families regarding student progress Assists with identifying students for placement in intervention groups Participates in meetings with teachers, administration, and families to discuss student placement and progress Provides diagnostic assessments for students as needed Provides input for program development Supports implementation of assessment tools and data management systems
