  • Job Description At Green Mountain Behavior Consulting (GMBC) we provide compassionate care for all that is person centered, meaningful and effective. GMBC is seeking skilled, dependable, and enthusiastic individuals to be a part of a collaborative team that will assist children and youth to increase their communication, motor, academic, social, self-care, functional living, and play skills
  • while assisting to reduce challenging behaviors.
The Behavior Instructor will work under the guidance of their Behavior Analyst and/or Assistant Behavior Consultant to implement behavior support plans and provide direct student support within the public school and community setting. Successful candidates will have enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Positions are available in various locations. and come be a part of our amazing team! Expected hours 35-40 hours/week (full time) Monday to Friday, day shift Pay
  • $21.00 to $26.00 /hour
  • depending on education and experience Qualifications Minimum of a High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required Experience working with individuals with ASD or other developmental disabilities preferred Possession of a valid driver's license Excellent driving record and access to a safe, reliable, insured vehicle Ability to lift and move 50 lbs and be trained in emergency safety techniques Ability to be enthusiastic, engaging and work in a fast-paced environment Ability to be flexible with change and accept regular feedback and support Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Reads, regularly reviews, and implements behavior analytic programming as directed by supervisors; plans may include behavior reduction procedures, skill acquisition procedures, and crisis or emergency response procedures Provides personal care needs to clients as needed Provides client transportation in personal vehicle-as needed (mileage reimbursement) Maintain physical fitness, demonstrate physical prevention techniques Collects accurate and timely data throughout the course of the program day Maintains client confidentiality to the maximum extent required by law Collaborates and interacts professionally with co-workers, students, families and outside service providers Maintains professional appearance and interactions Refrains from engagement in any activities or relationships that constitute a conflict of interest and/or dual relationships Accepts feedback from direct supervisors and adjusts performance as necessary Professional Duties and Expectations Arrives on time to all regularly scheduled work shifts and follows company procedure in the event of an unscheduled cancellation or emergency Obtains and maintains all company-requested trainings Adheres to all current company policies and procedures including, but not limited to: appropriate dress, requests for time off, call-out procedures, alcohol/drug use or possession, etc.
Demonstrates the highest standards of respect for client welfare, dignity, and safety. Always demonstrates critical thinking, problem solving-abilities, and sound judgment Refrains from the use of personal devices (e.g. cell phones, laptops, iPads, etc.) during working hours unless permitted by the direct supervisor or in cases of emergency Adheres to all current company policies and procedures including, but not limited to: appropriate dress, request for time off, call-out procedures, etc. Demonstrates the highest standards of respect for client welfare, dignity and safety Benefits
