Under the direction of the Clinical Manager, the Behavioral Interventionist provides behavioral support, intervention, and case management to clients in order to facilitate their positive adjustment to classroom expectations, and to strengthen the connection between home, school, and the community.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
DIRECT SERVICE:
Assists students with emotional andor behavioral difficulties in their efforts to participate in school. Teaches appropriate social skills and coping skills to students who have had limited success in school and society in general. Helps classroom staff with students experiencing a loss of emotional or behavioral control. Assesses student behaviors and creates individualized behavior plans; implements behavior plans and provides ongoing evaluations of progress. Observation of students' behavior in various school settings to identify triggers or factors that may affect their behavior; provides conflict resolution and crisis intervention services, as needed.
CASE MANAGEMENT AND SPECIALIZED REHABILITATION
Coordinates services on behalf of students and acts as a liaison between school, home, and other community supports. Acts as an information conduit to teach social skills related to various community settings that the students habituate.
CONSULTATION
Consults with school personnel about student behavior and assists in the development of behavioral plans for students in the program. Provides consultation to parents and other service providers as needed. Will attend the annual BI conference.
RECORD KEEPING
Complies with all UCS documentation requirements including clinical paperwork and time sheets. Responsible for data collection and reporting to the Clinical Manager for DMH success Beyond Six services related to behavioral intervention services. • In addition to the above, performs other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in behavioral Analysis (preferred) or related field. Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required either prior to hiring or within 30-days of hire. Salary Description $53,728.50 - $60,091.20 Yearly online at ucsvt.orgcareers and
