Job Description
Overview Join our dedicated team as a Behavior Technician and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and individuals with developmental disabilities. In this energetic role, you will implement individualized behavioral interventions, support skill development, and promote positive behavior change through evidence-based practices. Responsibilities Implement behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to support clients with autism and other developmental disabilities Collect and record data meticulously during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, feeding, and toileting, promoting independence and self-care skills Use positive reinforcement strategies to encourage desired behaviors and manage challenging behaviors effectively Collaborate with supervisors, teachers, and families to ensure consistency across environments and facilitate comprehensive care plans Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations while managing medical documentation, records, and progress notes Support the implementation of individualized care plans tailored to each client's unique needs, ensuring adherence to ethical standards in behavioral health Requirements Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), or special education is preferred but not required; we provide comprehensive training for all new team members Passion for working with children or individuals with autism and a genuine desire to make a positive impact Ability to assist with ADLs and implement teaching strategies that promote independence Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and documentation practices related to behavioral health Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, families, and other professionals Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines Patience, adaptability, and a proactive attitude are essential for success in this dynamic role Join us in creating a supportive environment where every individual can learn, grow, and succeed.
