Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician or Autism Therapist to join Mission Momentum ABA. As a member of our team, you will work with individuals between the ages of 2 and 21 diagnosed with Autism, who have behavioral and developmental disorders. Therapy sessions are offered in their homes and community settings. Your role will involve implementing behavioral therapy techniques and documenting progress.
Responsibilities:
  • Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques
  • Provide one-on-one therapy sessions
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of therapy interventions
  • Assist the BCBA in the diagnostic evaluation process
  • Provide support and guidance to parents and caregivers
Qualifications:
  • A background in Psychology, Pediatric Health, Special Education, or Child Care related field
  • A minimum of one year experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities
  • Ability to pass a background screening through DCF
  • Bachelors Degree Awarded or In Progress Preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to working with individuals with special needs
  • Punctual and Reliable, with a minimum of 10 hours per week available to provide ABA services
  • Ability to navigate web based data collection platforms using a tablet or cell phone
