Job Description

Job Summary:
The BT is responsible for providing direct care and supervision to children and adolescents in a supportive, safe, and structured environment. This position requires a compassionate and dedicated individual who can effectively engage with youth, promote their well-being, and assist in their development. The BT will utilize skills in behavior management and patient care to create a safe and nurturing environment for all participants.
Key Responsibilities:
Positive and Supportive Environment:
Foster a supportive environment that encourages youth engagement and participation in activities. Provide direct care and support to youth, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. Maintain a structured, consistent, and therapeutic milieu that promotes positive behavior, emotional regulation, and engagement.
Supervision and Safety :
Ensure the safety and security of all youth under care by maintaining a structured and positive environment. Monitor vital signs and assist with basic medical needs as required.
Behavior Management :
Provide guidance and implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions and outcomes. Utilize evidence-based ABA strategies (e.g., reinforcement, prompting, redirection) to decrease maladaptive behaviors and increase appropriate, functional behaviors.
Emotional Support :
Offer emotional support to youth, listen to concerns, provide encouragement, and foster healthy communication.
Mentorship and Skill Development :
Support youth in developing key life skills, such as communication, decision-making, and problem-solving.
Case Documentation :
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of youth activities, behavior, and progress in compliance with organizational policies.
Collaboration :
Collaborate with families, educators, , social workers, therapists, other staff members and management to provide comprehensive care and develop individualized care plans.
Individual and Group Activities :
Execute recreational, educational, and therapeutic activities to engage youth and promote their growth and development. Facilitate and support therapeutic, recreational, and educational group activities designed to build social, communication, and coping skills.
Crisis Management :
Be prepared to handle emergency situations or crises and implement appropriate intervention strategies.
Professional Development :
Participate in training sessions related to first aid, patient care, memory care techniques, and any other assigned training.
Implementation of Treatment Plans:
Provide direct ABA therapy and behavioral support by implementing individualized behavior intervention plans and skill acquisition programs across the residential setting, including during daily routines.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
