Various Shift Available, Will be scheduled 5 day/ week & Every other weekend Job Description Demonstrates knowledge of the Nursing Care Plan (NCP) and Treatment Plan as it relates to providing nursing care. Participates in quality control monitoring and peer review as assigned. Provides care to patients with mental illness, substance abuse, aggressive behavior and/or suicidal tendencies. Demonstrates knowledge of the therapeutic communication skills, taking under consideration age-specific competencies and culturally diverse patients. Identifies the need for and perform basic care/activities of daily living for patients. Assists in care for patients with physical problems and provide basic care for patients requiring Special Precautions, Seclusion, 4-Point Restraints, supportive Protective Restraints; follows policy on meeting patients' special needs for hygiene, nutrition, toileting, fluids, and

ADLs Qualifications Open-Competitive:

High school or equivalent diploma Successful completion of a one year trainee program for Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, Behavioral/Mental Health Technician or similar background.
