Job Description
Wage Range for
Basic screenings of patients, including review of barriers to health self- management, depression, stress, and substance abuse.
Conduct screenings, brief interventions, and referrals to treatment regarding ongoing substance use, crisis intervention, or behaviors that are in need of further care.
Provide crisis intervention services to patients in need and coordinate emergency response. Provides brief, traditional therapy services for patients as identified through screening and/or provider referral. What you Need for

$28.92 - $40.38Positions close 05/31/2025San Luis Valley Health in Alamosa, Colorado is seeking a highly motivated full-time and part-time Behavioral Health Clinician II, & Clinician III's to provide behavioral health therapy services. The providers will work closely with medical team to support patient outcomes, through screening, brief intervention, and counseling services. Successful candidates will have a strong desire to work with a medical team, provide consultation and expertise on behavioral interventions, and enjoy a fast-paced setting, implementing cutting-edge interventions. Positions offers continuing education and competitive salary and benefits. What You Need forClinician II:
Master's degree in counseling or social workColorado license in process or obtained after hireTraining in brief interventions and crisis interventionsCurrent BLSJob Responsibilities of Clinician II:
Work with a multidisciplinary team in multiple locations but primarily in the rural health clinics to address psychological and social needs of patients.Basic screenings of patients, including review of barriers to health self- management, depression, stress, and substance abuse.

Clinician III:
Must be licensed in the State of Colorado. Master's degree.2 years' experience post-licensure preferred. Experience working within medical setting preferred. Must be credentialed or eligible to participate in State and Federal healthcare programs and private insurances. Must have current CPR certification. Knowledge of acute and chronic care protocols and in the delivery of behavioral health care. Knowledge of how to assess patient health. Knowledge of health promotion principles, techniques and patient learning measurements.Job Responsibilities of Clinician III:
