Behavioral Health Technician

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to- Breathalyze clients as needed Monitor scheduled and random urine screens Check common areas for cleanliness and maintain facility appearance Maintain Office and/or kitchen areas, e.g. take out garbage, clean dishes, organize and maintain the common rooms. Enter information at the end of each shift in the shift report log on the computer Ensure that clients are on time for program scheduling Monitor residents and report unexcused tardiness in the log as well as the shift report Provide transportation to and from treatment meetings, appointments, IOP, shopping and activities as scheduled Organize and supervise activities for clients when on duty; plan ahead of time, keep track of projected expenses, and keep all receipts for money spent Screen clients' belongings upon intake Fill out required intake paperwork with clients upon admission Monitor facility inventory for supply management Report problems and questions to management Assist with any other directives from management and administration Participate in staff meetings when appropriate Comply with local, state and federal confidentiality laws and regulations Collaborate with professionals both within and outside the agency, as appropriate Demonstrate sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences

Qualifications:

Must have at least 1 year sober if in recovery High school diploma or GED preferred Experience working in substance abuse industry is a plus
