Job Description

Behavioral Technician (Summer Position) 30 Peck Rd, Torrington, CT 06790 From $22 an hour - Part-time From $22 an hour - Part-time About Us At Behavioral Health Consulting Services, we provide compassionate, evidence-based services to children and families impacted by autism and related developmental needs. Our team is dedicated to creating supportive, engaging, and growth-focused environments where both clients and staff can thrive. We are currently seeking motivated and energetic Behavioral Technicians (BTs) for a summer position . This is an excellent opportunity for college students, psychology or education majors, future therapists, or individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in the behavioral health field. Position Overview Behavioral Technicians work directly with children under the supervision of a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) and clinical team to support skill development and positive behaviors through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services.
Services may take place in:
Clinic settings Homes Community environments Responsibilities Implement individualized treatment plans and behavior support strategies Work one-on-one with children to build communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills Collect accurate session data and complete documentation Support clients during structured learning and play-based activities Collaborate with supervising clinicians and families Maintain professionalism, patience, and a positive attitude throughout sessions Qualifications Preferred qualifications include: High school diploma required College students or graduates in Psychology, Education, Social Work, Human Services, Nursing, or related fields encouraged to apply Experience working with children preferred but not required Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliable transportation Ability to remain active, engaged, and attentive throughout sessions
Schedule Summer Position:
