The BHT/CA Coordinator is responsible for monitoring Serenity Haven residents and providing some clinical services. This includes knowing where the residents are, ensuring they are acting safely and following rules/guidelines, providing clinical group services, and providing individual intake services. The Coordinator may be responsible for food safety, including reviewing food safety with clients and staff as appropriate and maintaining certification of "Servesafe" through the health department. The Coordinator will be responsible for assisting during health department inspections and scheduling the drug dogs. The Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the director of residential services in scheduling BHTs and CAs. The Coordinator will also be the person contacted for call-offs or schedule changes and will be responsible to contact other BHTs and CAs or find suitable coverage for scheduled shifts, including covering shifts that are not able to be covered by others.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify and order necessary food and kitchen supplies to ensure appropriate quantities for client's menu requirements. Have knowledge of updated requirements of health department regulations and ensure compliance. Schedule necessary administrative appointments (e.g. Drug dogs and others as assigned). Observe and document changes, unusual events, violations of rules/guidelines, and other notable incidents, related to a resident's behavior occurring during her shift. Conduct group counseling services, as scheduled by program director. Have a basic understanding of both Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral techniques. Safely operate 15-passenger van to transport residents to and from support meetings and events (i.e.AA/NA, NAMI
). Provide residents with access to their medications and document residents' self-administration of medications. Perform and document SUD Case Management services, where appropriate. Develop and monitor afternoon recreational activities, as assigned. De-escalate situations and provide security by frequently monitoring Serenity Haven buildings, grounds, offices and vehicles. Inventory resident belongings at time of admission and when returning from pass. Screen and document visitors to Serenity Haven, according to confidentiality guidelines. Perform urinalysis drug screens and alcohol swabs, as requested by clinical staff. Monitor the quality of household chores completed by residents. Review Behavioral Health Tech Log and coordinate services with other Serenity Haven staff at shift change to ensure continuity of care. Answer telephone and perform light office duties, when assigned. Schedule BHTs and CAs at the discretion of the supervisor at Serenity Haven. Carry an agency cell phone for call-offs of BHTs/CAs and be the first contact for calls-offs and coverage.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
: Obtain and maintain CDCA through the Ohio Chemical Dependency Board. Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and be insured by agency provider. Ability to provide and document SUD case management services. Understanding of co-occurring SUD and MH disorders and recovery. Must be at least 21 years of age. High school graduate or GED. Understanding of RSNWO and HIPAA confidentiality law, policy and guidelines. Subject to a pre-employment BCI criminal background check and every 5 years thereafter. Subject to a pre-employment drug screen and random or incident related drug screens throughout employment with RSNWO. Prior employment scheduling and coordination of scheduling for team of essential employees.
