Job Description:

As a Bike Mechanic, you'll be the face of our company, working directly with customers to ensure a smooth and enjoyable service process. Your main goal will be to provide excellent bike service repair, ability to sell, maintain the quality of the bike rental fleet, and ensure the overall satisfaction of our clients.

Required Skills and Responsibilities:

General Bike Maintenance:

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues for all types of bikes, e-bikes, and e-scooters. Change and patch inner tubes for standard and electric bikes. Perform full tune-ups, including drivetrain cleaning, lubrication, and adjustments. Adjust and fine-tune derailleur and shifter settings for precise gear changes. Replace and adjust brake pads, including rim brakes and disc brakes.

Advanced Repairs:

Perform hydraulic brake bleeding for e-bikes and high-performance bikes. Replace and true bike wheels and align rims. Swap brake rotors, ensuring proper alignment and torque specifications. Replace and service bottom brackets, headsets, and hubs. Repair and maintain suspension forks and rear shocks (if applicable).

E-Bike and E-Scooter Specific Repairs:

Diagnose and replace e-bike batteries and electrical components, such as controllers and displays. Troubleshoot motor issues and replace or service e-bike motors as needed. Update and configure firmware for e-bikes and e-scooters (if required by manufacturers). Inspect and repair wiring, ensuring all connections are secure and safe. Service e-scooter tires, brakes, and folding mechanisms.

Assembly and Customization:

Assemble new bikes, e-bikes, and e-scooters to manufacturer specifications. Install and configure aftermarket parts and accessories, including racks, lights, and fenders. Build and true custom wheelsets. Fit bikes to customers, including adjusting saddles, handlebars, and stem heights. Sales and Customer Interactions Educate customers about repair options, upgrades, and maintenance packages to enhance their biking experience. Effectively recommend and sell parts, accessories, and services to meet customer needs. Build rapport with customers, providing excellent service that fosters trust and repeat business. Clearly explain repair and service processes, offering upsell opportunities for premium services or products. Shop and Inventory Management Maintain a clean, organized workspace and manage inventory of parts and tools. Conduct quality control checks to ensure all bikes and e-scooters are safe and fully functional before returning them to customers. Assist in managing stock levels and recommending parts to keep on hand based on customer demand.
