Job Description
Overview CycleBar is the world's largest indoor cycling franchise, known for delivering an immersive, rhythm-based ride that builds community, energizes riders, and inspires performance. At CycleBar Berkeley , we take pride in creating a high-energy, welcoming environment for riders of all experience levels. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Bike Technician to join our team and help us maintain the premium experience our members expect. The ideal candidate has a strong background in mechanical work—especially related to indoor fitness equipment—and a passion for quality service. Experience or familiarity with Schwinn Black stationary bikes is highly preferred, particularly with drivetrain components, console systems, and bike calibration. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on studio bikes Troubleshoot mechanical issues and complete repairs efficiently using hand tools and testing equipment Assemble and calibrate bikes, ensuring proper resistance and console accuracy Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Communicate clearly with studio staff about bike issues, repair status, and recurring maintenance needs Keep detailed records of maintenance and part replacements Collaborate with the studio team to ensure bikes are safe, functional, and studio-ready every day Qualifications Previous experience as a Bike Technician or in a similar mechanical/maintenance role Familiarity with Schwinn Black stationary bikes is strongly preferred Comfortable using hand tools and diagnosing bike-related mechanical or electrical issues Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and a proactive, self-starter mindset Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment We're excited to find someone who shares our commitment to excellence and can help keep our riders in the saddle and loving every ride.
