Job Description
Aston Carter is hiring a Bilingual Customer Service rep! Job Description The Bilingual Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing dispatch schedules, tracking orders, and serving as the primary point of contact for customers regarding deliveries. This role supports logistics operations by ensuring the timely, efficient, and safe transportation of bulk cement, aggregate, and fly ash products. The position contributes directly to customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and safety compliance while supporting inventory tracking and reporting needs. Responsibilities Coordinate and manage daily dispatch schedules for bulk cement, aggregate, and fly ash deliveries in alignment with customer orders and plant capacity. Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding delivery status, scheduling changes, and service inquiries. Schedule and monitor deliveries to ensure timely, efficient, and safe transportation of products. Maintain accurate and up-to-date dispatch records, including orders, schedules, delivery confirmations, and related documentation. Track orders throughout the delivery cycle and proactively communicate updates to customers, carriers, and internal teams. Collaborate closely with carriers, logistics teams, and internal departments to resolve issues and optimize delivery routes and schedules. Support inventory tracking and reporting by accurately recording product movement and delivery data. Use multiple computer platforms and screens to enter, update, and verify dispatch and order information. Handle high volumes of inbound and outbound phone calls while providing strong, professional customer service. Communicate effectively via email using Outlook with customers, carriers, and team members without the need for assistance. Contribute to safety compliance by following established procedures and supporting a safety-first culture in all dispatch activities. Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance dispatch processes, customer service, and operational efficiency. Work independently to manage workload, meet deadlines, and perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Essential Skills Fluency in both English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both languages. Proven customer service skills, including professional phone etiquette and a strong customer-focused mindset. Data entry skills with the ability to multitask and enter information accurately into multiple platforms. Ability to navigate and work efficiently with multiple computer screens and systems. Comfort and experience handling high volume phone calls in a call center or similar environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Ability to communicate effectively via Outlook with clients and team members without assistance. Strong math skills and a high level of attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and perform well under pressure. Associate's degree or equivalent dispatch experience required. 1-3 years of dispatch, logistics, or transportation coordination experience preferred. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree is preferred. Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or dispatch coordination is highly beneficial. Experience working in a call center environment is an advantage. Bilingual (Spanish) capabilities are a plus beyond basic fluency, such as translating or supporting a wide range of Spanish-speaking customers. Experience supporting cross-functional teams in a performance-driven environment. Interest in developing a career within logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations. Work Environment This role is fully on-site, Monday through Friday, within a safety-first, performance-driven logistics environment. The dispatch team operates between 6:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., and employees work a set schedule within these hours. During training, the schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., after which an ongoing schedule is assigned. The position involves working at a computer for extended periods, navigating multiple screens and systems, and handling a high volume of phone calls in a fast-paced setting. The environment emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, adherence to safety procedures, and a professional, customer-focused atmosphere. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Deerfield Beach, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
