POSITION SUMMARY
: The Billing Specialist will provide advanced billing and programmatic assistance for the Aging Services Director, assisting with the daily operations and financial division of the Nutrition Program. The Billing Specialist will maintain accurate programmatic financial information required by the agency and funding sources. Duties include entering and uploading program specific data and completing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required by local funding sources, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Central Texas Council of Governments, Concho Valley Council of Governments, Capital Area Council of Governments and the Texas Department of Agriculture. Work is performed under minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for exercise of initiative and independent judgement.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
: Assist Program Coordinator in preparation and submission of Funding Proposals and Budgets Complete monthly reports and reimbursement forms for meals and participant assessments for all COGs (Council of Governments) Review for accuracy and enter client information into data system for all nutrition program funding sources Complete monthly billings for Title XX and Title XIX Managed Care; complete billing reconciliations and resubmit denied claims Maintain new client information, updates, and terminations in the appropriate computerized information system; assure updates are completed in a timely manner Process client information and conduct client assessments as needed Update and review monthly site rosters for each nutrition site Notify appropriate Senior Center Staff regarding client service authorizations and terminations Complete Nutrition Education documents and submit to appropriate funding agencies Complete waiver requests annually for all funding sources Maintain appropriate files for monitoring purposes Answer telephone inquiries regarding services offered; refer for assistance Enter personal time worked in the Automated Time Keeping system (Currently Employee Web Services). Continue professional development by participating in education courses, attending workshops and seminars, reading current materials, and working with consultants. Perform other tasks as deemed necessary.
