Job Description:

Job Summary The BIM Coordination Specialist is responsible for leading and managing the full BIM coordination process across construction projects. This role ensures that multi-trade models are aligned, clashes are resolved efficiently, and coordinated models support fabrication, installation, and field execution. Responsibilities Lead BIM coordination from project kickoff through completion Plan and manage coordination schedules, meetings, and deliverables Facilitate coordination meetings with contractors and trade partners Perform clash detection and drive issue resolution to closure Manage and aggregate multi-trade models using tools like Navisworks and Revit Ensure models meet LOD requirements and project standards Track and assign coordination issues and verify resolutions Maintain model organization, naming conventions, and version control Collaborate with project managers, field teams, and stakeholders Support construction teams with coordinated models and documentation Enforce BIM standards and contribute to process improvements Qualifications Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience) 3+ years of BIM/VDC or coordination experience Proficiency in Navisworks, Revit, or similar BIM tools Experience leading coordination meetings and managing clash detection Strong understanding of construction sequencing and trade coordination Experience in MEP, fabrication, or design-build environments Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ideal Candidate Has hands-on experience with BIM coordination in construction projects Strong understanding of MEP systems and installation workflows Comfortable leading meetings and driving collaboration across teams Detail-oriented with strong ownership mindset Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively Experienced in resolving constructability issues using model-based tools Simple Explanation of the Job This role is responsible for making sure all construction teams (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, etc.) are working from coordinated 3D models. The person identifies and resolves clashes between systems before construction begins, helping avoid delays, errors, and rework on-site.
