Job DescriptionThe role will entail supporting drug discovery programs by the execution of in-vitro assays under the direction of a more senior staff member.
Developing and executing cell-based assays and experimental studies using standard and innovative scientific approaches and techniquesTissue culture, cell-based compound testing, and the use of a variety of immunoassay techniques to quantify protein and post-translational modifications in culture medium and cell lysateUtilize assay formats like plate-based ELISA, AlphaLISA, GTRF and immunofluorescence, qPCRPerform data analysis and interpret results of experiments with collaboration from other scientistsWork will be performed in a BSL2 or BSL2+ settingQualificationsMinimum RequirementsCompleted Bachelors degree or Masters degree in Pharmacology or other related discipline and 3-5 years of experience, preferably in an industry settingSkilled in performing and/or developing immunological assays to support drug discoveryExperience with molecular biology techniques such as transfection, utilization of AAV or BacmamsAbility to perform sterile Tissue Culture and to apply treatments to cellsKnowledge in automation, data analysis, molecular biology and cell biologyAbility to work independently and team orientatedAbility to collaborate with other scientistsAbility to communicate clearly and candidlyWilling to learn novel technical skillsAuthorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
