Biology Faculty

Garrett College invites applications for a full-time Faculty in Biology to join its STEM team in McHenry, Maryland. This 10-month faculty position (Assistant/Associate Professor rank based on qualifications and experience) is responsible for the preparation, development, and presentation of classroom and laboratory material; the academic advisement of students; and participation in the academic planning and assessment process. Garrett College is searching for an outstanding and enthusiastic individual for a full-time faculty position in biology to begin in the fall of 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a variety of biology and related courses with the potential of teaching in the local high schools. In addition to teaching responsibilities, the person filling this position is expected to be actively involved in college outreach activities, departmental and campus committees, curriculum development, and program and student learning assessments.

Required Qualifications:

Master's degree (or near completion) in Biological Sciences or related field Minimum two (2) years of classroom teaching experience, post-secondary community college level preferred Garrett College is located approximately 180 miles west of Baltimore/Washington D.C. and 120 miles south of Pittsburgh. The College is within walking distance of scenic Deep Creek Lake and the Wisp Ski Resort.

Hiring Range :

Assistant Professor:

$65,629 to $78,038;

Associate Professor:
