Under the supervision of the Associate Division Chief, this position is responsible for overseeing the certification and monitoring of batterer intervention programs statewide. This position ensures compliance with state standards, provides training and technical assistance, and supports efforts to enhance victim safety and offender accountability. Duties include, but are not limited to: Develop and deliver training to BIP providers on certification requirements, standards, and best practices. Provide ongoing technical assistance to support program improvement and compliance. Conduct site visits, desk audits, and program reviews to assess compliance. Identify deficiencies and provide corrective action guidance. Recommend approval, denial, suspension, or revocation of certification based on findings. Track and report program performance and compliance trends. Review complaints filed against BIP programs and present findings and recommendations to a panel appointed by the Attorney General. Review and evaluate applications for program approval, renewal, and compliance. Monitor certified programs to ensure adherence to state statutes, administrative regulations, and best practices. Maintain accurate records of certified providers and program status. Assist in drafting and updating policies, procedures, and administrative regulations governing BIP programs. Ensure alignment with state law, evidence-based practices, and victim-centered approaches. Additional duties may be added at any time. Education Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience as determined by the Attorney General. Licensing & Certification Current licensure with the Kansas Behavioral Science Regulatory Board. A valid driver's license when operating a state vehicle, a private vehicle, or a rental vehicle for the benefit of the State. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, social work, public administration, or a related field. A minimum of three (3) years of experience working in batterer intervention programs or domestic violence services. Experience in program administration, compliance, or monitoring. Knowledge of domestic violence dynamics and offender intervention strategies. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Occasional evening or overnight travel may be required. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with state regulatory processes and administrative law. Experience developing and delivering training and technical assistance. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. Effective written and verbal communication skills.Additional Duties:

A valid Kansas Tax Clearance Certificate is a condition of employment for all employees of the Office of Kansas Attorney General. A Tax Clearance can be obtained through the Kansas Department of Revenue who reviews individual accounts for compliance with Kansas Tax Law.
