Job Description

CareStaff Partners seeks an experienced Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) for a Travel or Local contract position at a School District in California.

Job Duties and Role Responsibilities:
Serve as a resource, support and consultant to, administrators, teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers. Provide technical assistance and program compliance support for district staff to meet the learning needs of students with autism, emotional/behavioral disorders, and other health impairments in their least restrictive environment. Plan and oversee the development and implementation of programs and nest practices related to instruction using the principals of ABA for students with disabilities. Establish, organize, and deliver professional development/training. Deliver professional development training during the school day as well as in the evening. Assist district staff with development and implementation of behavior intervention plans, ABA programs and other appropriate programs for students with disabilities. Develop materials and provide resources and deliver professional development to administrators, certified teachers, paraeducators, parents and guardians in principals of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and other evidence based methodologies related to serving the needs of students with behavior difficulties. Implement compliance features related to appropriate comprehensive evaluation of students, established individual educational plans, and due process procedures. Assist in collecting and analyzing student and building level data and utilize the data for instructional decision making. Ensure behavioral strategies are implemented consistently and accurately across all settings. Facilitate and conduce functional behavior assessments, develop/revise positive behavior intervention plans using reinforcement and reinforcement schedules, data collections and progress monitoring. Consult, support and model effective behavioral and social instructional practices to struggling learners. Assist the special education and student services departments in all activities to support students and building teams wo work with students with disabilities. Collaborate with central office, building administrators, IEP teams and or individuals to implement comprehensive assessment and powerful individualized instructional programs which ensure that students with autism, emotional/behavioral disorders, and or other significant disabilities meet IEP goals and state standards. Complete needed paperwork and job related functions in a timely manner. Serve on a variety of committees and work on special projects. Assist in maintaining adequate records for audit purposes and contribute to budget/expenditure discussions. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
