Location:
Newington, CT Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our multidisciplinary team. The BCBA will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing individualized behavioral intervention plans for children with autism spectrum disorder. This role involves conducting comprehensive assessments, analyzing data to inform treatment strategies, and collaborating closely with families, educators, and healthcare providers to promote meaningful progress. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in applied behavior analysis (ABA), exhibit excellent patient care skills, and demonstrate a commitment to improving the quality of life for individuals served. Duties Conduct functional behavior assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify client needs and develop tailored intervention plans. Design and supervise evidence-based behavioral therapy programs grounded in applied behavior analysis principles. Collect, analyze, and interpret data on client progress to modify treatment strategies effectively. Provide training and ongoing supervision to behavior technicians and staff implementing interventions. Collaborate with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to ensure consistency across environments and optimize outcomes. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and compliance records in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Perform intake assessments and coordinate initial client evaluations to establish treatment goals. Ensure all interventions adhere to ethical standards and best practices within behavioral health. Educate caregivers and team members on behavioral strategies, medical terminology, and documentation procedures. Support compliance with federal and state regulations related to medical records management. Experience Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). Proven experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly autism spectrum disorder. Demonstrated expertise in behavioral therapy techniques, data collection methods, and applied behavior analysis. Familiarity with medical terminology, patient assessment procedures, and medical documentation standards. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality. Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations within behavioral health or special education settings. Strong interpersonal skills for working collaboratively with diverse populations in a professional manner.
