Job Description

Category Schools - BCBA Job Type Contract Take the next step in your BCBA career with a rewarding contract position supporting students in both elementary and middle school grades (K-8). This role offers a dynamic school-based environment, working across two locations situated close to one another, for an engaging and varied workday. You will oversee a caseload of about 40 students, with smaller groups of 5-6 per classroom, ensuring each child receives targeted, effective behavioral support. A collaborative setting awaits—work alongside two dedicated school social workers, experienced special education teachers, and a team of both Behavior Technicians (BTs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs).
Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active BCBA certification, with school-based experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and behavior intervention planning Ability to train and provide ongoing consultation to BTs/RBTs Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams Skilled communicator with a commitment to positive student outcomes
Primary Responsibilities:
Train BTs and RBTs in evidence-based behavioral strategies Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and develop data-driven recommendations Consult regularly with teachers, support staff, and administration regarding students' progress and intervention plan adjustments Provide classroom-based support and guidance; no direct 1:1 sessions required as those are managed by BTs Maintain clear documentation and contribute to team meetings This contract position offers abundant support from experienced staff, a manageable caseload for effective intervention, and the opportunity to make a lasting positive impact across two close-knit school communities.
