Job Description

Category Schools - BCBA Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to impact K-12 students as part of a dedicated district-based team. This full-time, contract position supports schools in the Chattanooga area, offering meaningful engagement across diverse educational settings. You'll work primarily from the district office, providing expert guidance through a structured referral process—not all 80 schools have open referrals at a given time. Benefit from a collaborative environment, including monthly consultations with the Vanderbilt Triad program for enhanced data review and feedback. The district has designed a detailed Help Desk and workflow system to prioritize your well-being, so caseloads remain manageable and your expertise is maximized, not overburdened.
Professional Qualifications:
Current, active BCBA license required Experience working within school settings or with K-12 populations preferred Strong data collection, analysis, and report writing skills Commitment to evidence-based behavioral practices Excellent collaboration, problem-solving, and communication abilities Flexibility to respond to referrals and adjust priorities as needed Fingerprinting and successful completion of district credentialing process
Key Responsibilities:
Consult on student behavioral and educational needs across multiple schools Support staff and families through guidance, interventions, and strategies tailored to student success Participate in monthly consults with the Vanderbilt Triad program Utilize the district's Help Desk and documentation protocols Contribute to a healthy, constructive environment for both colleagues and students Maintain up-to-date records and reports in compliance with district and regulatory guidelines Provide training and resources to school personnel Enjoy a 7.5-hour, district-aligned workday (generally between 8am and 3:30pm), with flexibility as your schedule accommodates different school start times.
