Body Shop Technician

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Shop Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for working with various tools and equipment. As a Shop Technician, you will play a crucial role in the assembly, fabrication, and restoration of commercial passenger vehicle components, amusement rides and equipment ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the process. Responsibilities Operate hand tools and power tools to perform repairs and modifications on automotive parts. Assemble and disassemble components as required for maintenance or restoration projects. Fabricate custom parts as needed to meet specific project requirements. Conduct auto glass installation and repair tasks efficiently. Perform auto painting duties, ensuring a smooth finish and adherence to quality standards. Assist in heavy lifting of materials and components during various stages of production. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions. Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency. Skills Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for mechanical tasks. Experience with soldering techniques for electrical components is preferred. Knowledge of auto glass installation processes is an asset. Familiarity with auto painting techniques and materials is beneficial. Ability to fabricate parts using various methods and materials. Strong skills in auto restoration practices are desirable. Capability to lift heavy objects safely as part of daily responsibilities. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
