Job Description
Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will support our organization's financial health and operational efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse accounting software and contribute to the financial success of a forward-thinking organization. The ideal candidate is energetic, meticulous, and passionate about delivering precise financial data. Duties Manage and record all financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks. Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data Prepare and process journal entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable transactions Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Maintain detailed records of payroll, tax filings, and governmental accounting requirements Assist with budgeting processes and financial report writing to support organizational decision-making Ensure compliance with double entry bookkeeping standards, debits & credits, and general ledger accounting procedures Qualifications Proven experience with accounting software including QuickBooks, this is a must! Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, governmental accounting, and non-profit accounting practices Knowledge of GAAP standards and technical accounting concepts Experience with bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, journal entries, and general ledger accounting Familiarity with payroll processing, tax experience, and accounts payable/receivable management Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills; ability to perform 10 key typing efficiently Ability to analyze accounts, prepare financial reports, and perform budgeting tasks accurately Prior experience in public accounting or working within a professional finance environment is preferred Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to maintaining impeccable financial records while fostering your professional growth.
