Job Description

Job Overview Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Bookkeeper to join their dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will help support our organization's financial health and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger maintenance using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online. Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of all financial data through detailed account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently while adhering to company policies and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to support management decision-making Maintain accurate records of payroll, tax filings, and governmental accounting requirements while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations Assist with budgeting processes by tracking expenses and providing insights into financial concepts relevant to organizational goals Support internal audits by providing detailed documentation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activities Requirements Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles with familiarity in public accounting or corporate accounting environments Strong knowledge of accounting principles such as double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and GAAP standards Proficiency and experience in QuickBooks software is essential Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation tasks such as bank reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation accurately Skilled in financial report writing, account analysis, and budget tracking with a focus on precision and clarity Excellent understanding of governmental accounting practices and tax experience is a plus Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks such as 10 key typing, journal entries, and account analysis efficiently Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments and support financial reporting efforts
