Boulder Crest Foundation: Equine/Recreational Coordinator

The Equine/Recreational Coordinator of Boulder Crest Foundation is responsible to the Executive Director for the feeding, care coordination, medical appointments, and overall wellness for our 4 horses onsite, covered horse arena, and 3 acres of pasture to include mucking pastures, fence repair, grooming. Additionally, Equine/Rec. coordinator is responsible for planning, preparing, maintenance of supplies, and coordinating recreational activities (i.e. archery, hiking, kayaking, fishing) and equine-based programs for guests of the Retreat. Through hands-on interaction with guests using outdoor recreational and equine activities, the Equine/Recreational Coordinator helps guests improve mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing; reduce depression, stress, and anxiety; build confidence; reinforce effective social skills; boost creativity and have fun. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Daily AM/PM feeding of the herd to include weekends Weekly supply order and inventory of supplies to feed the herd Fence and pasture maintenance as needed to include repairs, fence board replacement, and painting Coordinating medical appointments for herd (farrier, dentist, annual vet visits) Co-facilitation of equine module during structured programs such as Warrior

PATHH, Military Teen Retreat. Planning, facilitating, and organizing recreational activities for R&R guests to include hiking, kayaking, archery, fishing, equine sessions Maintain, inventory, and replace supplies for recreation as needed in areas of fishing, archery, kayaking, and equine Operate a tractor, gator, truck, and trailer as needed to bush hog, grade, and drag the arena and pastures Supporting daily operations of Retreat as needed
