Responsibilities Safely operate box truck and handle associated equipment. Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary. Drive assigned routes adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations while maintaining punctual deliveries. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any issues promptly. Manage freight documentation accurately, including delivery logs and load manifests. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues that arise during transit. Assist with securing cargo in box truck as required for specialized freight handling. Experience Proven experience as a delivery driver or truck driver, preferably with box trucks or similar commercial vehicles. Familiarity with basic maintenance and ​driving techniques. Experience operating trucks is highly desirable. Knowledge of route planning and route driving best practices to optimize delivery efficiency. Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklifts or manual methods when needed. Valid driver's license and clean driving record required; additional certifications such as TWIC are a plus.
