Job Description
POSITION
Branch ManagerREPORTS TO
Branch Operations Manager & Lending SupervisorSUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
Directs the operations of a Credit Union facility with a staff of 2-3 people, ensuring the branch meets organizational financial, operational, service and growth plans.Supervisory Responsibilities:
Yes Essential Functions:
Underwrites consumer loans up to the amount assigned per Credit Union management Hires, reviews, schedules, trains, directs and monitors work of branch employees. Monitors branch operating results relative to established objectives and insures that appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions. Represents the branch as appropriate in its relationships with members, sponsor organizations, suppliers, other financial institutions and potential membership groups within the community. Maintains communication with the main office; prepares and submits standard reports; attends scheduled management meetings. Controls past due and charge off accounts for the branch. Monitors all branch activities to insure they are in compliance with established credit union policies and procedures. Serves as backup to member service reps as needed. Manages the basic maintenance the overall condition of the property. Develops Business opportunities to increase Branch Production Other duties as assigned.Competencies:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required. Professional, well-developed interpersonal skills necessary for projecting a positive image as representative for the credit union to members, vendors and credit union staff. Requires judgment to solve day-to-day problems, but usually within established guidelines. Basic knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software and the use of the Internet. Intermediate mathematical skills required (concepts and calculations involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.). Dependability- Job requires being reliable, responsible and dependable and fulfilling obligations. Attention to Detail

Computer Proficiency Education:
High School Graduate or Equivalent (GED).Experience, Skills and Other Requirements:
Two Years experience in credit unions or banking preferred. Must demonstrate an ability to understand and implement changing policies and procedures. Must possess interpersonal skills including courtesy, tact, and diplomacy as they are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, as well as use of internet and e-mail.Job Type:
